4th Grade
	4th graders are skiing today. No assignments. :)

6th Grade
	6th graders started on the pyramids today. No homework assignment.

8th Grade
	8th graders actually had English twice today. We reviewed for a vocab test, took a vocab test, finished up some Daily Language and started “Anne Frank.” No homework assignment.

7th Grade
	7th graders had English twice today also. We reviewed for their chapter test one period and took the test the other period. No homework assignment.

6-12 ski day-4th graders will be with Mrs. Hall all day. There are no assignments from me.

I’m out today because my husband is having outpatient surgery. I’ll put down what I think will get done tomorrow, but with tournament, I’m not sure how many kids will be in class. My sub may not have enough kids to teach. :)

4th Grade
	4th graders will have their spelling test and their Week in Review quiz. They will spend the rest of class time working on their vocabulary presentations.

6th Grade
	6th graders have two and a half worksheets to finish. Everyone should be able to get them done in class and not have any homework.

8th Grade
	8th graders will be reading a READ magazine. No homework.

7th Grade
	7th graders will have a READ magazine. No homework.

February 16, 2012
4th Grade
	4th graders started off with their regular Thursday morning meeting. We then worked on Daily Language and a few corrections. The kids then worked on the decorations for our door for Red Ribbon week. Spelling test and Week in Review quiz tomorrow. Spelling lists and Daily Language sheets were sent home with everyone.

6th Grade
	No class today. The 6th graders had a presentation on energy in Mrs. Witt’s room.

8th Grade
	8th graders had their vocabulary presentations and every single one of them received a 100%. :) They have their vocabulary test tomorrow. 

7th Grade
	7th graders had a video on alcohol followed with a discussion. No homework assignment.

February 15, 2012
4th Grade
	4th graders started off with some Daily Language and then moved on to Vocabulary Menus. :) Big fun! The kids all chose something off of the menu and worked on their project for most of the period. They will be working on it again tomorrow. We also received a new student this morning. :)

6th Grade
	6th graders read “Ancient China” and we tried to watch a short video on the Great Wall, but technology was not agreeing with us. The kids did get a worksheet, but it was not homework. They can work on it in class tomorrow.

8th Grade
	8th graders got a little bit of Daily Language in before half of the class left for pep band. After they left, the rest of the class read their AR books. Vocabulary presentations are due tomorrow and the test is on Friday.

7th Grade
	7th graders had a video on marijuana and cancer from Mrs. Turnsplenty. No homework assignment.

4th Grade
	4th graders had hot cocoa with whip cream and sprinkles to start out their Valentine’s Day. :) We played a game called Mr. and Mrs. Irresistible and worked on ideas for our door. 

6th Grade
	6th graders missed most of class due to today’s pep assembly.

8th Grade
	8th graders had a movie for their Valentine’s party.

7th Grade
	7th graders also had a movie for their Valentine’s party.

February 13, 2012
4th Grade
	4th graders acted as the audience for the fifth through eighth spelling bee this morning. Everything went great and we have eight contestants to take to the county bee. :) After the spelling bee, the fourth graders checked out their AR points, worked on Daily Language and corrections. Everyone was sent home with their spelling list for this week. It’s all abbreviations.

6th Grade
	6th graders received a new student today and that caused a little excitement. :) They worked on Daily Language and everyone finished their vocabulary worksheet in class. For homework, they need to read pgs 284-297 and be ready to discuss it tomorrow.

8th Grade
	8th graders worked on Daily Language and vocabulary. Vocabulary presentations are due this Thursday and the test will be on Friday. We were also able to get in about twenty minutes of history before we start the play of “The Diary of Anne Frank.”

7th Grade
	7th graders went over two pages of a packet together as a class to make sure that everyone was on the right track. They need to finish the other two pages for homework.

February 9, 2012
4th Grade
	4th graders had their regular Thursday morning meeting and then we headed back to class where we worked on two different Reader’s Theaters. The kids than chose one of the plays to use as a template for writing their own Reader’s Theater. No homework. Have a great weekend!

6th Grade
	6th graders finished up last week’s challenge. It proved to be pretty difficult for a few of the students to remain good sports and remember that it was just a game. We might have to figure out a few things next week. No homework. Have a good weekend.
